Do you print or cut vinyl lettering?

We can print or cut...depending on your vinyl lettering needs.

Here are Quick Signs we have the technology to do both printed lettering and cut lettering. Technically though, both products end up with the same finished result, individually cut lettering that has no background color. There are a couple factors though to determine if your cut vinyl lettering will need to be printed or if it can be cut out of solid colored vinyl.

PRINTED CUT VINYL LETTERS:

Choosing to print your cut vinyl letters should only be considered when your artwork has gradients, special effects, specific Pantone color call-outs or can't be vectorized. Otherwise it's best to find a solid vinyl color closest to your lettering needs and go that route. When you print vinyl lettering you are using inks which will fade quicker than solid color vinyl. And since this style of cut vinyl letters are printed onto an adhesive material you do not get solid color on both sides of the lettering. Printed vinyl letters are essentially digital decal prints that are cut to shape and will have full color on the front, while the backside of the adhesive material, will be grayish in color. So if you are placing printed lettering on any surface that can be viewed from both sides, one side will showcase your lettering in full color, while the other side is flat looking without any color.

SOLID COLOR VINYL LETTERS:

Most all vinyl lettering is cut from rolls of solid colored vinyl. With an array of vinyl color choices, matching your desired vinyl lettering color needs shouldn't really be an issue, unless your artwork needs specific colors as stated above. And since cut vinyl letters are made from solid colored vinyl the actual color of the vinyl will be visible on both sides, as compared with printed cut vinyl lettering which has color on the front and gray on the back. And since the vinyl has solid color through and through vinyl lettering will last longer and take longer to fade over printed lettering, which is digitally printed using inks that fade quicker than solid colored vinyl. With a proper vector file specific logos can be cut to shape as well.

All in all cut vinyl lettering, whether printed or not, is a great product for window lettering, vehicle lettering, wall lettering and so much more. This product is pre-spaced and ready to apply for easy do-it-yourself installations.
