This all depends on quantities and sign products that are ordered.
(The information below is for in-house production turn-around times only. It does not include any transit times for sign orders that are shipping out from our Orange County location.)
Our typical normal turn-around time averages about 2 to 3 business days for most of our sign products. Some of the common sign products that can be completed within our normal turn-around time are aluminum signs, PVC signs, decals (vehicle, wall, window), magnetic signs, standard printed banners, yard signs and vinyl lettering to name a few. This quick turn-around time is dependent on print-ready artwork and sign quantities. This simply means that as long as we don't have any unmanageable artwork issues, and the quantity of your sign order isn't outrageously large, we should be able to keep within our normal turn-around time frame.
For more specialty items like pole banners, double-sided banners, over-sized banners, wind flag banners, and the like, the turn-around time tends to be about 5 to 7 business days. The increased turn-around time is due to the materials being used and very particular customized finishing options they require. For instance, all of the banners listed above, need to be printed on material that may require stitching of some sort to achieve the finished size and look of each banner style; whereas a standard banner, which is printed directly onto non-fray material, doesn't require any stitching, thus making it easier and quicker to produce.
And although the turn-around times stated above are fairly accurate...they can also vary depending on the product ordered, the quantities necessary to complete the order, supplied artwork, redesign services and overall customer responsiveness. If you are working within strict time constraints to receive your sign order try and plan accordingly and be prepared for some of the following issues that may occur and further slow down estimated production times:
- Artwork Issues: If your art file is problematic and could require a complete re-creation by our art department. Layout designs can take time depending on the complexity of your desired look. Always try and submit any and all artwork you have so that our art team can assess any print compatibility issues from the get go.
- High Quantities: The higher the sign order quantity goes, in most cases, means the more time it will take to produce. When your order hits the thousand mark, you can pretty much be assured, that the turn-around time will be at least a week sometimes more. (There are exceptions to the rule here when it comes to decals that can be printed on a continuous roll and not singled.)
- Customer Responsiveness: We can only control how quickly we respond to our customers, so if you are sent a visual proof or a sales representative is trying to reach you to no avail, then turn-around times can suffer greatly. It's advisable to make sure you are available, via phone or email, for any little hiccups that can occur before print production to make sure that your sign order gets processed as quickly as possible. (NOTE: We do not operate on the weekend, so if you have pressing sign needs, make sure to contact us before 5:00 p.m. Fridays (PST.)
And on a side note, for those of you who may need a sign "like yesterday", please don't hesitate to give us a call right away to see if we can accommodate your order on a RUSH basis and meet your sign demands quickly and affordably.
