Yes. We offer custom cut decal options to fit your needs.
When it comes to custom cut decals there are many ways to describe the cut-to-shape style that you are looking for. Most people refer to custom cut decals as die-cut decals or computer cut decals. Utilizing these terms quickly alerts our sales team that your decal will need to be cut-to-shape in some way. And just to clarify a cut-to-shape (or custom cut decal) means that your decal, upon completion, will have no background. The decal will stand alone instead of having a standard white background, colored background or clear background.
Custom cutting decals falls into two categories: cut-to-shape or cloud cut. Both these styles eliminate having your graphics printed in a basic square, rectangular, oval or circular shape and also give your graphics extra character or a more sophisticated look. Here is a little run down of your custom cut decal options in comparison to standard decal printing.
DIE-CUT DECALS:
Also referred to as computer cut deals or exact shape decals, die cut decals, are cut down to the precise outline of your graphics. Digitally printed decals, cut vinyl decals and cut vinyl lettering can be cut-to-shape to create the die cut decal look. This particular custom cut decal look requires specially formatted vector files that allow the computer to read the outlines of your art files to be able to cut them to shape. Vector files usually end in .EPS, .PDF or .AI. But if you don't have a vector file and your decals or lettering need to be custom cut, not to worry, we have a very talented graphics department that might be able to help you achieve your custom die-cut decal needs by creating a file that can be cut-to-shape.
CLOUD CUT DECALS:
This is another custom cut decal option that works for people that don't have the proper vector files necessary for digitally printed die cut decals. Utilizing a cloud cut on your custom cut decals still gives you a unique look but without all the cost of re-creating a file that can be die-cut. A cloud cut essentially cuts around the outside edges of your leaving a thin white border around your graphics. This creates a custom cut look that essentially looks like a cloud around your artwork so that your decal isn't just merely printed in a square, round, oval or rectangular fashion.
